An inhuman tremor that flattens all Chinese hawker stalls at Desa Setapak, Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 21st of May 2008!

Probably, I should have called this a tremor rather than earthquake, but that tremor was powerful enough too as it ruined all Chinese hawker stalls that have been there for years!

Ohya, you may not understand what I am talking about unless you’d read the news/forums/blogs or staying around Desa Setapak.

On 21st of May 2008, the lovely DBKL went on to dismantle those so-called illegal hawker stalls at Desa Setapak. (Though, these hawker stalls have been there for years, many of them should have been survived for more than 10 years, with some of them relying on the business to grow up their little poor children.) However, the DBKL only dismantle the Chinese hawker stalls, all of them! (Well, again, that’s expected. I believe that most Malaysian know and understood from heart!)

Well, wait for at least another 5 years to live with a better life, and hopefully tomorrow will be good a day!

Hawker stalls disappear – before and after the tremor:

I’ve just read a funny and creative Gmail junk to share with you. The sender said he is going to introduce us a delicious Chinese Dim Sum for breakfast, and will ask a question at the end of the introduction (via pictures).

Here we go, the delicious Dim Sum – Juicy Xiao Long Bao:

Question: How many Xiao Long Bao you’ve seen?

Don’t know right? Because you were focusing on the Da Bao and not the Juicy Shanghai style Xiao Long Bao!

If you happen to be around Bukit Bintang, you may try this (non-Halal) Tien Ji (添记）Pan Mee. (Only small cheese will like it; big cheese in Bkt Bintang will prefer Jogoya @ Star Hill)!

I personally prefers to its special thread-like Pan Mee in dry, served with minced meat, crispy anchovies (the English word of Ikan Bilis), mushroom, vege soup and the tasty sour chilli source!

The SC way to preserve the taste of scrambled egg - easy preparation and no oily cooking.

I seldom cook for myself. But if I’m going to do, I must keep it simple – less complicated, no mad cleaning the mess after cooking, and preserve the taste of food!

So, here is the way that I made a scrambled egg for my wife and myself on the Sunday morning. It was so delicious – no joke!

Get ready four eggs in a bowl and adding reasonable seasoning – one spoon of Japanese rice vinegar and 1 spoon of light soya source.

Stir to mix the eggs and seasoning evenly until only the yellow yolks juice is seen.

Pour in really little water into the saucepot and heat it with maximum power. Once the water is boiled, then only pour in the bowl of eggs juice and stir it quickly (don’t be slow) with a tablespoon (indeed, anything that you’ve in kitchen).

Keep scrambling until the eggs juice dried, the delicious scrambled eggs are ready to be served at a clean plate with some olive oil. (Remember to pour in some water to the heated source pot so as the cleaning can be easier later).

Pros: No oil added during cooking – free of oily steam and odour, leave only natural fragrant of cooked eggs!

Cons: Need some efforts to clean the eggs juice that heated on the surface of source pot.
