Mom taken a stem of this flowering plant from mother-in-law. After a year under her care, the plant, commonly known as Little Bird (小鸟花), is now full of little red birds :)

The same good old gadgets, i.e. Sony A200 DSLR and Chine-made non-branded timer, were used to shot the twilight of New York JFK international airport from Hampton Inn.

It looks warm but it was terrible cold (to me) in winter morning of Nov 2011.

A cheap-but-working, China-made timer automatically triggered Sony A200 shutter at every 20th seconds, to capture a total of 316 photos from a closed window of Hampton Inn JFK, New York.

Now, using the free Picasa software, the 316 photos are easily compressed or converted into a 15secs full HD video.

Yo man, here you go, the timelapse of New York’s twilight in winter:

The light trails in the sky are created by airplanes before landing at JFK international airport.

Giant George The World Tallest Dog

Giant George owned by David Nasser of USA is acknowledged by Guinness World Records as the world tallest dog, a Great Dane measured 1.09m height (perhaps also the world biggest, giant dog)!

Stay Alert When Have Fun At Waterfall Or Riverside!

While the picnic site looks calm but somber under cloudy weather, you can’t be sure what situation is at upstream.

If so happen upstream is raining heavily, the flash flood water will flow rapidly to the waterfall or riverside where you’re at.

So, REMEMBER to stay alert to any signs of flash flood, such as roaring sounds (water flowing rapidly), unusual bird tweet or howl of animal, etc, and run away as fast as you can to higher, safety ground!

Although I can’t understand the conversation, but I bet you can imagine what happen to the people who stand in the middle of stream :(

Liquid Mountaineering Or Walk-On-Water Sport

You might have played stone skipping before, but I bet most of you haven’t tried this liquid mountaineering (or walk-on-water) suggested by Sebastian Vanderwerf.

It’s a new kind of sport which requires one to run atop the water, as shown by these guys in the video:

If you want to try this, make sure the site (pond or water reservoir) is safe for your activity. Knowing how to swim is an added advantage. As for equipment, you need a pair shoe that would help repel water.

Of course, you won’t success until after a number of tries (Rome is not built in 1 day!).
