How To Share Object Repository For QTP

QTP 10 has one convenient feature that allows you to share the object repository for other scripts. This has been reduced the redundant object to be created when more than one QTP scripts referring to the same object.

Sometime we may record the same object for different scripts; therefore sharing the object repository may very convenient. The advantage for this feature is when one object change, you only required to change one time rather than change for every script. With the changes made, what to do is just replace the object repository file for other scipts and then it will automatic refer to latest change.

To Do
1. Open Repository Manager (Resources – Object Repository Manager)
2. Capture the application object (Object – Navigate and Learn)
3. Select the application page you would like to capture and click Learn
4. Once the capturing process done, you are required to save the object repository file
